Dr. Chip Hunter - An award-winning scholar specializing in human resources and industrial relations, Hunter is the immediate past president of the Industry Studies Association, a community of scholars committed to rigorous research. In his work, Hunter seeks to develop knowledge through direct fieldwork and a deep understanding of the dynamics of specific industries. His research spans industrial settings, with a focus on managing workplaces and human resources to promote organizational goals and positive outcomes for workers.
The Dean will be speaking on WSU Carson College's online education program, new accommodations for business students, their response during COVID-19, and what that means for students looking ahead. He will also be speaking on an updated Business in the Northwest Report which will shed light on how regional business leaders and employees feel about today's business climate and the impacts of COVID.
Nolan Yaws-Gonzalez - Praised as a natural leader who is committed to students’ success, he led Career Services and New Student programs, including the successful Career and Internship Fair. Recently, as chair of the ROAR Task Force, he authored a report proposing significant changes and was tasked with implementing them. He serves on several university committees and advised the Cougar Pride Club.
Yaws-Gonzalez accepted the position of Business Growth Mentor and Analysis Program manager in the Carson College of Business in September 2019.
